Armond Abramian, 33, was arrested when he was enroute to post bail for his alledged accomplise, Darney Romero, 24, at the San Luis Obispo County jail.
Police had been alerted that a Los Angeles area couple who stole bulk quantities of cigarettes for resale had burglarized CVS stores in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties and were likely heading north.
A Pismo Beach Police Officer witnessed the couple break into a CVS store. Romero was arrested, following a short vehicle pursuit, on charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and evading officers, she was jailed in lieu of posting $20,000 bail. The second suspect, later identified as Abramian, was able to elude police and escaped.
Authorities believe Abramian has ties to a Russian and Armenian criminal organization out of the Los Angeles California area. Abramian is currently on federal probation.
